I’ve spent my career finding what actually helps.

I’m a speech-language pathologist based in Northwest Philadelphia, and I’ve been doing this work for a long time — with families across a wide range of circumstances, from school districts and agencies to private practice.

Over the years, I’ve learned that the families who get the most out of working with me aren’t necessarily the ones with the most complex kids. They’re the ones who are engaged, paying attention, and willing to think alongside me.

What I do is hard to put in a single category. I do speech therapy. I help parents figure out what they actually want from a school system and how to ask for it. I help kids and teens find tools — technology, strategies, language — that let them show up more fully in their lives. I ask a lot of questions. I put people at ease. I think creatively about problems that don’t have obvious solutions.

Former clients and colleagues have told me I offer more than speech therapy. I think that’s right. What I offer is a thinking partnership — with the family as much as with the child — grounded in clinical expertise and a lot of hard-won experience.

I live and work in Northwest Philadelphia. I take a small number of private clients so I can do this work well. I also speak to parent groups and school audiences, and I work virtually with families who aren’t nearby.
