Over the past 30+ years, Kim has collected many clinical competencies that inform her work with children and families. Some of these skill sets include:

  • PROMPT Training - completed bridging toward certification
  • ASHA Apraxia Training - completed all modules
  • Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication Handicapped Children (TEACCH) training – completed basic and advanced training
  • Verbal Behavior Training (VBT)– completed course I and V
  • AAC – various training, professional development seminars and self education in high and low tech augmentative and alternative communication
  • Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) 
  • Social Story Methodology – developed and taught by Carol Gray
  • Greenspan’s Developmental, Individual-Difference, Relationship-Based (DIR) Model 
  • Medical Motor Behavioral Feeding Intervention
  • Sign Language – functional use
